Etisalat Afghanistan contracts Yahsat’s Yahclick service

by Staff Reporter | August 16th, 2012

Etisalat Afghanistan has announced an agreement with Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat) for the provision of its YahClick satellite broadband service.

YahClick satellite coverage will reportedly bring fast and efficient communications to many regions in Afghanistan that are currently without an internet service, as well as everyday telephony connections.

This will, the company claims, avoid the need to wait for terrestrial systems to roll out and avoid the expense of fibre or copper lines. Even in areas of heavy rainfall, the technology will adjust the power required to ensure the link is maintained, a statement said.
