NMC and Yahsat discuss cooperation on satellite communications

The National Media Council (NMC) and executives from Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), a private joint stock company fully owned by Mubadala, an investment arm of the Government of Abu Dhabi, have discussed cooperation and coordination on statellite communications to serve governmental departments as well as individuals and businesses.

The meeting discussed the Emirates News Agency – WAM’s possible use of Yahsat’s television and radio broadcasting capabilities in the UAE and abroad.

CEO of Yahsat said cooperation with NMC will help showcase to a global audience, UAE’s achievements.

Since being incorporated in 2007, Yahsat has designed the region’s first multi-purpose satellite system, reportedly based on extensive interaction with customers and research into their communication needs.

Yahsat , he added, will harness its efforts to achieve the common goals it has with NMC
